Furi Arma Pro 98

This may be one of the best racquets you've never tried and you definitely should. The Arma Pro 98 is manufactured by Furi Sports. The racquet specs are as follows:

  • Head size: 98 sq in / 632.26 sq cm

  • Unstrung weight: 10.8 oz / 305 g

  • Unstrung Swing Weight: 290 +/-10

  • Length: 27 in / 68.5 cm

  • Balance: 12.2 in / 31 cm

  • Beam Width: 24mm / 23mm / 22.50

  • Stiffness: 64 +/- 2

  • String pattern: 16 x 19

  • Recommended string tension: 50-60 lb / 22-27 kg

The racquet has similar specs to something like a Wilson Blade or a Yonex VCore 98. The racquet does not perform similarly to them, however. The Arma Pro 98 has more plow-through than both racquets as the swing weight is slightly beefier than both racquets, weighing in at around 329 when strung. The racquet will not leave you out to dry when trying to hit defensive shots and the racquet will have your back when playing offensively. The racquet is solid at the net and consistent from the baseline. The launch angle is predictable and the spin potential is still very good, but not to the degree of a Babolat Pure Aero or a Yonex VCore 98. The ball pocketing of the string bed allows for great control. Like most racquets with a stiffness in the mid 60s, the racquet plays comfortably. Even with off center shots, the racquet is not harsh, but instead it gives you feedback to hit the ball a little more in front or in the center of the sweet spot. The racquet is a player's frame and is going to fit many players between the 4.0 - 5.0 NTRP rating or someone with a UTR rating of 5.0 and higher.
